Eating Disorder Therapy LA: A Psychology Group
Now providing virtual therapy to patients throughout California, Indiana, Florida, New York, and South Carolina.
Eating Disorder Therapy LA is a specialized outpatient eating disorder psychotherapy practice in the heart of Los Angeles California. Under the direction of Lauren Muhlheim, Psy.D., FAED, CEDS-S, Clinical Psychologist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, we offer individual and family-based psychotherapy for eating disorders primarily, as well as anxiety and depression.
We provide treatment to people of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and body sizes with eating disorders. We are anti-diet and adhere to Health at Every Size (R) principles.
We believe that people should be able to use their health benefits and that all individuals deserve access to quality care, regardless of ability to pay. As such, we proudly accept several insurances (including Medicaid) and have some low-cost treatment options.
Our specialty is in the provision of Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for teens with eating disorders and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adults with eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Orthorexia, and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED; formerly known as EDNOS or Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified). We also provided therapy for Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) and Swallowing, Choking, and Vomiting Phobias.
Our website provides more detailed information about our services, therapists, treatment philosophy, resources, and payment. Please take a few minutes to read the content we have provided and contact us with any questions or to schedule an appointment.
